Baby Led Weaning; Cheese and Bacon Omelette

This week is all about the protein! Eggs and cheese are great sources of protein for your baby and bacon just adds to the yummyness!!

This takes minutes to make and cook! You will need the following ingredients;

  • Egg(s)
  • Cheese
  • Full fat or Semi skimmed milk, you can also use formula or breast milk
  • Corriander
  • Bacon
  • Vegetable oil
  • Pepper

To start, cook your Bacon either in the grill or in a frying pan until its just cooked and no more, we don’t want it to be crispy. I cut off the fat as its stringy, I worry about choking hazard! Please also bare in mind your baby may not always actually eat the foods you give them as most don’t have teeth or simply because they rely on their milk for their main source of nutrition. The flavours are still just as tasty, though!

Beat your egg(s) in a bowl until fully whisked with a fork and add in a small amount of milk and cheese. Cut up the bacon into bite sized pieces and sprinkle in. Add your vegetable to a frying pan and pour in the mixture once your pan is hot. Making sure the mixture is totally flat and even around the pan. Place lid on top and leave at middle heat for a few minutes until fully cooked. Sprinkle some corriander and boom, done! You can also make these in an air fryer, have a look on YouTube or tiktok on how long to put in for.

Cut up for your baby to hold and enjoy!
